I agree. I was named after Catherine of Siena and generally find her writings difficult to follow, a bit mystic, but these made perfect sense to me. I was only reading Bible verses about gifts in 1 Corinthians yesterday so this was timely. How catching is that idea of charity allowing the other virtues to be attracted to it and vice versa? It is encouraging because we all know that we have a particular character/virtue more dominant in us but the 'lack of' in other aspects can be disheartening.

I too find her rather difficult! But this is one of my favorite passages of hers--I also find it incredibly encouraging, like you.
