"Isnโ€™t it lovely to be called friend directly from someone seven hundred years ago? I feel his prayer upon me." this was so beautiful to read!! feeling connection to people from history is so special

Thank you!!! I agree, there is something so wonderful about feeling a connection there.

May the writing go well! I listened to your Julian of Norwich podcast on a day when I was feeling stuck as a way to stay connected to my work even when I'm in a rough patch.

Grace, I showed that St. Matthew illustration to my husband, who suffered through the last few days of me trying to write a first draft of an essay in my Jane Austen course. I am not writing about anything as exciting as chastity and lust, but marriages and endings in Jane Austen's novels. She certainly has enough impropriety in there though! I felt empathy with the Saint and yourself and we had a chuckle about drafts and the pain they cause. I will be praying for you as you continue on with this key part of your manuscript. Sadly, I don't think petering off into nothing is an option for you. Emily of New Moon was my introduction to L M Montgomery and so she holds a special place in my heart. I always related more to her than Anne as a girl but now I also appreciate Jane of Lantern Hill.
