Hello friends,
I’ve decided to take a leap of faith: enough of you have expressed interest in a paid tier of Medievalish that I’m giving it a shot!
I’m starting the Medievalish Book Club: a group of sundry folk pursuing truth, beauty, and goodness through reading medieval, early modern, and perhaps the occasional more modern book together. This option does not affect the free monthly newsletter subscription, which remains free and will always be free!
For $10/month, or less if you join with four friends or more (and one free month if you get a yearly subscription!), you receive access to a new book club endeavor. Twice a month, I will post a small lecture and host a communal, friendly discussion thread on a book. This will not be fast-paced, but meditative and invitational. It will take us a while to get through these rich texts, so it’s not a book per month or anything like that. You can go at your own speed and catch up later, or you can read alongside me. The first post will be in two weeks, on my reading philosophy as we approach these wonderful books together. Then, we will start our first book, Julian of Norwich’s magnificent Revelations of Divine Love.
I would love to welcome you on this reading pilgrimage with me! Plus, this paid tier is direct support for my reading, writing, and podcasting work. Invite a friend and read together. I’m looking forward to this new adventure.
-Grace
So excited for this! One question—is there a particular edition of Revelations of Divine Love that you recommend?
