Thank you Grace for this wonderful pep-talk, and all the best for your work/family/life journey, in 2026! ❤️

I LOVE that bit from the Four Quartets, and after reading Piers Plowman during December, I feel like all of Eliot's writing make so much more sense to me. That dream-vision non-linear-ness that has its own kind of logic and sense...

Thank you! I love the Four Quartets-Piers Plowman comparison and completely agree. Langland and Eliot are both prophets of a kind.

I love this so much and feel very much the same! The Aquinas prayer is one we pray at a study/fellowship/prayer group here. I have grown to yearn for praying those words together.

It's a wonderful prayer.

Oh this was such a needed reminder for me this morning. I downloaded one of those paintings, and I'm going to be looking at it again and again. Thanks Grace!

I'm so glad. Those paintings are delightful.

I am a new subscriber who delights in all things medieval. I’m writing a medieval fiction book (very slowly) and recently started a new publication built around that! But I wanted to share that I somehow stumbled upon a comment on a post that mentioned your book about medieval practices of following Christ (or something like that, I am sorry) and I ordered it! I’m stoked to read it. Seems like it’s right up my alley- meditating on Jesus with the medieval mystics.

Glad you're here! I hope you enjoy the book! What is your medieval fiction book about?

It is somewhat still developing, but one of my main characters right now is beginning to see the way of life around him is not something he desires- he sees the imperfections in “justice” through retaliation or militant response, the unfulfilling life of revelry, things of that nature. The prologue sets the stage and highlights a once perfect world fractured by ambition where a united people group becomes divided into warring tribes. The story takes place ~2000 years after that initial fracture.

I love the prayers you add at the end of your newsletters.

I think the prayers at the end are one of the main reasons people subscribe to this newsletter! :)

I love all you write. You’ve really opened my eyes to aspects of Christianity I didn’t know about. The prayers are lovely!

My son is in Tucson right now so I shared your comment about it. It’s a great town I think.

I'm so glad you enjoy it.

I love Tucson! Great place full of character.

Very timely, as today’s goal is to weave a tapestry forest in a *very* small space … with only vague ideas how, and a very unhelpful fear of starting. I foresee some of these quotations taped to the frame of my loom. Thank you.

Godspeed! Very cool that you weave tapestries.
